Mohr (graduated) pipettes
A Mohr pipette is a graduated pipette with graduation marks that typically stop before the tip. Volume is read as the difference between two marks, not as a single calibration line.
What “Mohr” means in the lab
Mohr pipettes are glass (or sometimes plastic) graduated pipettes used to deliver variable volumes. Unlike a volumetric pipette, they are not a one-mark, one-volume standard. Unlike many serological pipettes, Mohr graduations often do not run all the way to the tip, so you do not empty the pipette to the last drop for the calibrated interval.

Always read the colour-coded band and the TD/TC marking on the pipette in your hand. Do not assume Mohr geometry from the word “graduated” alone.
